Erica Lopez is co-chair of the Denver Branch for The Heart of Hearing.
She is an upstate New York native, but spent several years in the south for school and work. She graduated from Towson University in Maryland with a Bachelors of Arts degree in communications. While at Towson Erica interned at WBAL-TV and shortly after graduating began her career as a journalist.
Erica is currently the weekday morning Traffic Anchor and Noon Anchor at KUSA, 9News in Denver, Colorado. Erica has more than 5 years of experience covering traffic, news and entertainment.
Erica has know Meaghan Thomas since 2018. Erica and Meaghan worked together in Birmingham, AL and quickly became friends. Erica has a passion for giving back and has a heart for others. She is thrilled to lead the Denver chapter of The Heart of Hearing. Erica has learned so much about hearing loss through her friendship with Meaghan and is inspired by her ambition to give back. Erica supports The Heart of Hearing’s mission to reduce the hearing loss stigma and provide hearing aids for all who are in need and is excited to grow this chapter in Denver.
