Kristina began her career in television at the Golf Channel in Orlando, fitting, as she was a competitive golfer for more than a decade. She’s proud to say that she’s met Tiger Woods, interviewed Phil Mickelson, and has been put in a headlock by the one-and-only Gary Player.
After two years, Kristina took a quick turn from sports to weather after taking a job as a weather anchor and reporter for KNDU/KNDO, the NBC affiliate in Eastern Washington. From there, she went on to develop her passion for forecasting at WBRE/WYOU in Wilkes-Barre, PA, as well as completing her meteorology certification from Mississippi State University. She’s covered everything from tornadoes, to wildfires, to Nor’Easters. Her love of active, and challenging weather is a big part of what led her to Nashville!
Despite having lived all over the country, Kristina’s roots are in the northeast. She was raised in a town just south of Boston (making her an unapologetic Patriots fan). After high school, she spent four years in the Big Apple while attending NYU. During that time, she also was the proud captain of NYU’s women’s golf team, a writer for the athletic department, and a member of the R&A’s digital media team.
